"Be Still" Notes
It had been a busy couple of weeks. This song was written in the car driving to Boulder Colorado on business while I worked for Apple Computer. I had been working a lot of late nights trying to get ready for the launch of the Newton. After all that I was now headed to an Apple lab in Boulder to see if we could make one more demo before the product launch in Boston. I took some poetic license. I don't drink coffee and I don't always make it up by a quarter to eight.

"Be Still" Lyrics
I get up every morning at a quarter to eight Drink my coffee, read the paper, going to be late Fight the traffic, work all day and then hurry home Eat some dinner, watch TV and answer the phone Chorus But God says: Be still... and know that I am God Be still... I want to talk to you Be still... and hear the still small voice in your heart I've got my laptop, and beeper and my cellular phone You can always reach me but I'm never at home Briefcase and my ticket and my suitcase is packed Trip to Denver, stop in Boston, then I'll be back Chorus I learned to say my prayers at the age of three God bless mommy, God bless daddy, God bless me Thanks for breakfast, thanks for dinner, see you at noon When I'm less busy then we'll talk it's sure to be soon Chorus
