Personal Sub Yacht

Looking for a yacht, but you are shy and want to get away from crowds? Then how about getting a submarine yacht.

The 65m Submarine is a 65-meter (213′) personal luxury submarine with a 305m depth rating. The initial design was originally executed for a client and now awaits a buyer. As proposed, the submarine would constitute the single largest private undersea vehicle ever built, and arguably, one of the most significant personal transportation devices of the century.

This design, which we have named the 65m Submarine, has more than ample space. The total interior area of the submarine is in excess of 460 square meters (5000 square feet). The significant volume, coupled with very large acrylic viewports, and the potential for relatively large open spaces, results in a vehicle as luxurious as the finest of motor yachts.

Clearly, the 65m Submarine provides its owner with substantially more capability than a simple yacht – the opportunity to explore the depths of the world’s oceans in perfect comfort and safety. The 65m Submarine is capable of making trans-Atlantic crossings at 16 knots yet can dive along the route and explore the continental margins of some of the most fascinating waters on earth. And unlike surface yachts, when the water gets rough, the submarine can submerge into a perfectly smooth and quiet environment, continuing on toward its destination, providing a ride unsurpassed in quality-unequaled by the finest motor coach or the most luxurious executive aircraft.

Personal Submarine Yacht, affordable, see my project http://www.tolimared.com/submarine

This is a not high luxury segment aproach. Affordable at cost of a small sailing yacht of same size.

I love this sub. I always wanted to be Captain Nemo. I can’t understand why people insist on buying condo apartments and being packed together in little square boxes. This would be the exact opposite, no noisy (or nosy) neighbors, no condo association, no rent and no taxes. Even pirates would be thwarted when you are almost 1000 feet under the waves!

I wonder how TV reception would be like down there? Not for crappy TV shows, but for Weather Channel, CNN and Bloomberg. Those huge portals should provide the best entertainment and drama.

This submarine would indeed be sweet to own. Although, when you consider that for the same money you could get a much larger surface vessel with a helicopter, or a large gulf stream jet, and still have money left over for a massive mansion and a Ferrari there will probably be few takers of this in today’s fast paced world. Sure a jet may not provide as smooth a ride as this, but in terms of speed it cannot begin to compete. Unfortunately, this submarine priced at $80 million will probably only be within reach of the superrich anyway; the kind that would probably not have a lot of noisy neighbors, condo association, rent, and taxes to worry about, because money is no object for them and they likely already have security teams and gates for their homes along with offshore bank accounts. Also could you imagine the property tax on this thing, if it was registered in the US. Sure the superrich may buy something like this to get away from the Paparazzi, and other media; as it would be a very convenient way to sneak off to a private island somewhere. Lastly, I have added this item to my Amazon universal wishlist; so if anyone has an extra $80 million and would like to liberated me thanks a million, rather 80 million.
