The Gateworld site has a peak behind the scenes of a recent episode “The Times that Bind”. I enjoy the new characters in the show, but even so I think this show may have jumped the shark when they wrote out O’Neil and Carter.

You’re right about SG1 jumping the shark.
I think your date is wrong though. It firmly jumped in S7 when Sam’s personal life came to the forefront along with O’Neill being a laughable general. Let us not forget about Teal’c getting some utterly cliched amazon Jaffa women nookie. The show was about the team, exploring and kicking alien butt. Not the characters private lives.
It does stand a chance to jump back in S9. With Carter back now though, I don’t hold out much hope. It would’ve been nice to lose RDA and Tapping at the same time perminently.
