Remembering You

I have a great memory for obscure trivia and facts, both useful and useless. I have studied a number of languages with some effect (German, French, Spanish, Italian, Mandarin and now Turkish). I have a great memory for places and can navigate by landmarks with great ease (but don’t ask me fore directions). So why are names so hard for me to remember?
